Going on holiday in January is something I thought was for massachists who didn't know what a good time was. To understand where this sentiment comes from you have to realise that in England, you only take holidays during the late spring and summer time if you want a chance of half decent weather.
As a newcomer to the family, this would be the first time that we would all be together without an escape route......would we get on?.....would we survive? The answer in both cases was a resounding yes!! And a good time was had by all.
The pictures here are of the local town? Caletta de Fuste. Although in general, Fuerteventura is quite barren, a lot of effort is put into making the area both a green and pleasant land (I feel a song coming on). There was an awful lot of building going on during our stay and if you were staying in and around the town, I imagine there would be a lot of noise and dust. We were staying about 800 yards out of the main town so we were not affected by the building work, noise and dust.
As you can see, the place was relatively quiet and unrushed. Just my pace.
